It's Cold Out

This past weekend it was very cold outside. On Saturday, we woke up to snow and very cold temperatures outside. Once the boys were up, the wanted to go outside and play in the snow.

On Friday, we had bought each of them snow shovels. Since they had their new shovels, they wanted to go outside and help shovel the sidewalk and driveway. They were able to go outside since I had to go out and shovel anyways.

I bundled them up in their snowpants, winter jackets, snow boots, hats, and gloves. I even tied scarves around their faces to help keep them warm. Once everyone was all bundled up, we went ouside to shovel the sidewalks.

Tyler thought he was pretty cool being a big boy and shoveling. We had to tell Tyler to shovel the snow onto the grass because he was just pushing it where ever he wanted to go. He like making paths in the snow. Garrett shoveled some. He liked to follow his big brother. Garrett got tired of shoveling and decided to play in the snow but then that was too cold and he wanted inside. It was a balmy zero degrees outside (without the wind chill) while we were shoveling. People would drive by and glare at me because my boys were outside but they were bundled up and not out for long. While we were shoveling, Justin was at work answering service calls. He was on call all weekend for work and he was busy both Saturday and Sunday due to the cold weather. It is usually a good guarantee, whomever is on call during drastic temperature changes will get called out. Justin was the lucky one this weekend.
