Camping Over the 4th of July

I am sorry that I have updated our blog lately, but we have been busy with life. Our last camping trip was over the 4th of July. We went camping with our friends Jeff and Shawna and my brother Mike. Our camp site was very grassy. Shawna had brought the game "horsey ball" or something like that to play. The object of the game was to throw two bouncy balls, attached together by rope, to a hurdle looking thing that had bars on it. The balls are suppose to wrap around one the bars for points. The first person or team to twenty won the game. Before we could even play the game, Justin and Jeff (with help from Tyler and Garrett) flattened the grass with the four wheelers so we had a relatively flat area to play the game on.

Tyler liked playing the game. He would run and fetch the balls his mom threw way out of bounds. Needless to say, I sucked playing the game. I never scored any points. I'm just not the talented. Besides playing horsey balls, we went four wheeling and just relaxed.

Jeff and Shawna had brought their dogs camping so we took Miley with us. We would take Tyler and Garrett on little rides down the road while the dogs ran. Miley did a good job staying with us. During one of the dog runs, Uncle Mike let Tyler drive the four wheeler all by himself. Mike sat behind Tyler while he drove down the road. Tyler had a grin from ear to ear when he stopped. Mike said he did not do too bad considering this was his first time.

No camping trip is complete with having smores. Garrett and Tyler love smores! They also love roasted marshmellows! They even like plain marshmellows! My boys love sugar just like their dad!
